Description of game:

Fantastic start to the game with Kacey scoring within the first 20seconds. The N.K. were quick to get back to centre and were able to even the score from their goal attack. Gainsborough were quick back, good attacking play to score again. The match was very even to start, however Gainsborough were able to turn over the ball from some brilliant defender getting it back down the court to score again. Another goal was conceded before quarter time, however Gainsborough was still in the lead at quarter time.

A change was made with Izzy coming on at Goal Keeper. Gainsborough went out strong from the start, with a few chances missed before Kacey scored from a quick attack. N.K. were quick to defend, turning over the ball to then score from their side. Gainsborough still had the slight lead when the half time whistle went.

The girls were in high spirits after a great first half, and were quick to attack in the third quarter. We had some excellent defending from Shania, blocking the ball to be able to turn it over to attack. Gainsborough were quick moving up the court, with more shots being scored from Daisy as goal attack and Kacey as goal shooter. Again, Gainsborough were in the lead by two goals at the end of the third quarter.

Changes were made again, bringing Holly back on into goal defence, with Daisy moving to goal keeper to switch Izzy to goal attack. The girls had a brilliant start in the final quarter, making sure they were extending their lead. Izzy scored all her goals in the last quarter, with Kacey supporting and scoring as well. Defence was solid, turning over the ball with a final score of 12-6 to Gainsborough.

Well done to all the girls who played, excellent effort throughout the full game and a well deserved win!
